How to Apply Raycourt Proflex Cushion

Apply Proflex Cushion in multiple layers according to the required cushioning level, playing characteristics, and project requirements. Each layer should be applied using the recommended method and allowed to dry fully before the next layer is added.

Mixing Ratio

Coverage

Proflex Cushion typically covers approximately 38 sq.ft per kg per layer. Actual coverage may vary depending on the condition, texture, and uniformity of the base, as well as the application method.

Thickness

Each Proflex Cushion layer is applied at an approximate thickness of 0.65–0.75 mm, helping maintain the specified cushion build-up across the sports flooring system. The final number of layers can vary according to the required cushioning effect and project requirements.

Step-by-Step Application Process

  • Surface Preparation

    Ensure the base is clean and properly prepared before beginning the cushion application.

  • Prepare the Mixture

    Mix 50 kg of Proflex Cushion with 38 litres of clean drinking water according to the recommended mixing ratio.

  • Apply the Cushion

    Apply 1 to 5 layers of the prepared Proflex Cushion mixture using the recommended S-150 Squeegee, depending on the required cushioning level.

  • Allow Each Layer to Dry

    Allow each layer to dry completely for approximately one day before applying the next layer.

  • Ready for the Next Layer

    Once the required cushion build-up is complete and the final layer has dried, proceed with the subsequent layer of the acrylic sports flooring system.
