Each layer performs a specific function to improve adhesion, surface uniformity, player comfort, durability, and long-term visual appeal.

Raycourt 9 Layer System

Raycourt 9 Layer System on Concrete Base

(Depending On Base Condition)

Raycourt’s 9 Layer System for concrete bases is designed to create a durable, cushioned, and high-performance synthetic acrylic sports surface. Applied over a properly prepared and structurally sound concrete base, the system combines a primer layer, acrylic resurfacer layers, cushioning layers, and premium acrylic color coats to improve adhesion, surface uniformity, player comfort, and long-term outdoor performance.

Layer 1: Primer Layer

Purpose: The Concrete Primer layer creates a strong bond between the prepared concrete base and the Acrylic Resurfacer layers. It penetrates the porous concrete surface, helps seal minor pores, and provides a stable foundation for the complete flooring system.

Material: Raycourt Concrete Primer, a pure acrylic-based primer formulated for concrete sports flooring applications.

Application: Applied evenly using a roller or squeegee after the concrete surface has been properly cleaned, prepared, and allowed to dry.

Thickness After Application: Approximately 0.2–0.3 mm.

Features:

  • Improves adhesion between the concrete base and flooring system
  • Helps reduce the risk of delamination
  • Seals minor pores and surface imperfections
  • Supports resistance to moisture infiltration from the substrate

Purpose: The two Acrylic Resurfacer layers help smooth minor surface irregularities and create a uniform foundation for the Proflex Cushion layers. They improve surface consistency and support the durability and performance of the complete flooring system.

Material: Raycourt Acrylic Resurfacer, a pure acrylic-based material that may be mixed with fine silica sand as required for improved leveling and surface uniformity.

Application: Applied in two uniform coats using a squeegee, with adequate drying time between each application.

Thickness After Application: Approximately 0.4–0.6 mm.

Features:

  • Helps fill minor cracks and surface imperfections
  • Improves surface smoothness and uniformity
  • Creates a stable foundation for Proflex Cushion
  • Supports improved surface strength and durability

Purpose: The four Proflex Cushion layers create an enhanced cushioning build-up that improves impact absorption, surface resilience, and player comfort. The additional cushion layers help provide a more comfortable playing experience during regular and extended sports activities.

Material: Raycourt Proflex Cushion, an acrylic-based cushioning material formulated with elastomeric components for synthetic acrylic sports flooring.

Application: Applied in four uniform coats using the approved application method, with adequate drying time between each layer to achieve consistent coverage and the required cushioning performance.

Thickness After Application: Approximately 0.6–0.8 mm per layer, with the final cushion thickness depending on the specified application and material consumption.

Features:

  • Provides enhanced impact absorption
  • Adds resilience and flexibility to the playing surface
  • Improves player comfort during extended play
  • Helps reduce impact-related stress on joints and muscles

Purpose: The final two Acrylic Color layers provide the finished playing surface, delivering consistent color, surface texture, reliable traction, and long-term protection.

Material: Raycourt Pure Acrylic Color, formulated with UV-resistant pigments and suitable anti-slip additives for outdoor sports flooring applications.

Application: Applied in two uniform coats using a squeegee to achieve even coverage and a consistent surface finish.

Color Coat 1: Mix the specified quantity of silica sand and potable water with Raycourt Pure Acrylic Color, then apply evenly using a squeegee.

Color Coat 2: Mix the specified quantity of potable water with Raycourt Pure Acrylic Color, then apply evenly using a squeegee after preparing the first color coat as required.

Thickness After Application: Each coat is approximately 0.3–0.5 mm, with a combined thickness of approximately 0.6–1.0 mm.

Features:

  • Delivers a vibrant and uniform court finish
  • Provides reliable surface traction and grip
  • Helps protect the underlying layers from UV exposure and wear
  • Supports easy cleaning and routine maintenance

The complete Raycourt 9 Layer System on a concrete base has an approximate total thickness of 3.6–5.1 mm after application. The final thickness may vary depending on the condition of the concrete base, surface preparation, application consistency, and material consumption.

Raycourt 9 Layer System

Raycourt 9 Layer System on Bitumen Base

(Depending On Base Condition)

Raycourt’s 9 Layer System for bitumen bases is designed to create a durable, highly cushioned, and high-performance synthetic acrylic sports surface. The system includes 2 Acrylic Resurfacer layers, 4 Proflex Cushion layers, and 3 Acrylic Color layers to improve surface uniformity, player comfort, impact absorption, traction, and long-term outdoor performance.

Layer 1 and 2: Acrylic Resurfacer Layers

Purpose: The two Acrylic Resurfacer layers help smooth minor surface irregularities and create a strong, uniform foundation for the Proflex Cushion layers. This resurfacer build-up improves surface consistency and supports the long-term performance of the complete flooring system.

Material: Raycourt Acrylic Resurfacer, a pure acrylic-based material that may be mixed with fine silica sand as required for improved leveling, filling, and surface uniformity.

Application: Applied in two uniform coats using a squeegee, with adequate drying time between each application to achieve consistent coverage and surface preparation.

Thickness After Application: Approximately 0.4–0.6 mm per layer, with a combined thickness of approximately 0.8–1.2 mm.

Thickness After Application: Approximately 0.6–0.8 mm per layer, with a combined thickness of approximately 2.4–3.2 mm.

Features:

  • Provides enhanced impact absorption
  • Adds resilience and flexibility to the playing surface
  • Improves player comfort during extended play
  • Helps reduce impact-related stress on joints and muscle

Purpose: The final three Acrylic Color layers provide the finished playing surface, delivering enhanced color consistency, surface texture, reliable traction, and long-term protection. The additional color coat helps create a more uniform, refined, and durable court finish.

Material: Raycourt Pure Acrylic Color, formulated with UV-resistant pigments and suitable anti-slip additives for outdoor sports flooring applications.
